Clarksdale, MS – October 25, 2025 — The community of Friars Point came together Saturday for the 14th Annual Ring the Bell for Cancer Walk, a heartfelt event dedicated to raising awareness, honoring survivors, and remembering those who have lost their battle with the disease.
This year’s walk was dedicated to the late Vera Fair Trotter, whose strength and spirit touched many lives. During the ceremony, a commemorative plaque and ribbon were presented to her mother and daughter in recognition of her enduring legacy.
Tiffany Williams, the event organizer, led the walk with passion and purpose. A cancer survivor herself, Williams continues to inspire others through her advocacy and determination. This year’s event held special meaning for her, as she also honored the memory of her mother, who passed away earlier this year after her own courageous fight with cancer.
The annual walk remains a powerful reminder of the importance of community support, early detection, and hope in the ongoing fight against cancer.
