Mississippi comes to Hattiesburg!
HATTIESBURG, MISS (March 24, 2023) – The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health has been selected as a statewide finalist for Sales and Marketing Professionals’ Mississippi Pinnacle Awards.
Dr. Sandra Melvin will be honored at an awards gala at Lake Terrace Convention Center Tuesday, April 11 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The Mississippi Pinnacle Awards honor excellence, professionalism, and outstanding achievement in sales, marketing, and community engagement and showcase the highest level of public relations talent in the state. Over 100 nominations were tendered by Mississippi citizens for the annual competition. “Sales and Marketing Professionals salutes the achievements and talents of Mississippi owners, directors, account executives, event planners, and community volunteers who are an integral part of the Magnolia State. We have honored these stalwarts on a regional basis for a decade and look forward to welcoming practitioners statewide into this prestigious group,” Michael Marks, Mississippi Pinnacle Awards Chair, said.
The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health was founded in 2019 in response to the need for the development and implementation of public health interventions that include the voice of the community and place health equity at the forefront of the decision-making. The Institute’s projects have provided health education, outreach, training, and prevention to thousands of individuals in Mississippi. “The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health is honored to be included among this elite group of statewide finalists,” said Dr. Sandra Melvin, CEO, Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health. “We are thrilled to be recognized for our work in reducing health disparities throughout the State of Mississippi.”
