Coahoma County High School won its second consecutive game with a 24-0 shutout victory at home against O’Bannon on Friday night.
Senior Jashun Handy opened the game with a 92-yard kickoff return touchdown to give the Red Panthers (3-1) a 6-0 lead with 11:43 remaining in the first quarter.
Senior Jatavious Crawford blocked a punt for the Red Panthers, but they could not capitalize on the opportunity.
Junior Khleand Wolfe followed with another blocked punt that the Red Panthers capitalized on. Senior Jerasmus Eagins ran for an 11-yard touchdown on a fourth down and six play with 8:33 remaining in the first half to extend the advantage to 12-0. He barely got past the pylon on the left side of the end zone.
Eagins and sophomore Kendarious Sims each had an interception.
Eagins forced two fumbles and recovered one, ran for 35 yards on seven carries, and had seven tackles. He finished with two touchdowns.
Sophomore Caleb Hearn had five tackles and recovered one fumble.
Senior quarterback Harlem Bell completed 3 of 10 passes for 30 yards and one touchdown. Junior Rodell Burnside was 2 of 8 passing for 26 yards.
Senior Devonta Boyd had five carries for 35 yards.
Sophomore Zechariah Smith had three receptions for 29 yards, four carries for 19 yards, and led the team with eight tackles. He finished with one touchdown.
Crawford had five tackles.
