Clarksdale, Mississippi – It’s October, which means it’s time for fire prevention awareness! In cities across the country, people are focusing on fire safety at home, work, and in schools. Here in Clarksdale, we’re excited to introduce our new Fire Prevention Officer, Inspector Charles “Rudy” Miller. Rudy is already making an impact in the community, helping keep residents informed and safe during this critical time.
Rudy, as he’s known to his friends, has been hard at work since joining the Clarksdale Fire Department in his new role. As Fire Prevention Officer, he has taken on the responsibility of ensuring that local businesses comply with fire codes, but that’s just one part of his mission. Rudy is also leading fire and life safety events throughout the city, making fire safety a priority for everyone.
He’s already visited several schools and churches, bringing along some of Clarksdale’s finest firefighters and fire trucks to engage with students and congregants.
