Clarksdale, Mississippi – Lee Academy is proud to celebrate the success of its students at the recent Tennessee Williams Festival, where our young thespians took center stage in the student drama competition! The weekend was filled with impressive performances, and our four competing students showcased their talent, dedication, and passion for the dramatic arts.
In the Monologue Competition, Lucy Kate Johnson and Elizabeth Butler captivated the audience with their powerful, individual performances. Their pieces displayed incredible depth and versatility, leaving the judges and audience alike thoroughly impressed.
In the iconic “Stella Call,” Kyle Rawlinson brought home first place, and Owen Dixon added his dynamic presence to the competition. Both students embraced the challenge with charisma and skill, truly embodying the spirit of Tennessee Williams’ work.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to our students, dedicated staff, and the supportive community members who attended and cheered on these remarkable students. It was a memorable event that reminded us all of the incredible talent within our school community. Lee Academy had a wonderful time, and we are beyond proud of our students’ accomplishments at the Tennessee Williams Festival!
