From festive storefronts to visits with Santa, this cherished event invited families, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the season, while supporting the small businesses that make Clarksdale unique.
The festivities began at 5:30 PM with children lining up to capture that special holiday photo with Santa. As the evening unfolded, shoppers explored beautifully decorated stores, each displaying seasonal gifts and goodies, perfect for holiday shopping. Local favorites like Collective Seed & Supply Co., Nellie Mays, Magpie Gift & Art, Cat Head Delta Blues & Folk Arts, Hayley Hood, Whitney’s Boutique, Delta Creations, and Willow Botanical & Goods opened their doors with welcoming displays and one-of-a-kind finds.
The atmosphere was filled with holiday spirit as guests sipped hot chocolate, enjoyed delicious food from local food trucks, and experienced the joy of shopping small and supporting Clarksdale’s community of makers and retailers. This event wasn’t just about shopping—it was an evening of family fun, with activities for all ages. Clarksdale High and Clarksdale Collegiate choirs serenaded the crowd with festive tunes, bringing warmth and cheer to every corner of Delta Avenue.
Adding to the evening’s charm, kids were invited to write letters to Santa with the Coahoma Baseball team, and MS Woman at Work hosted a special treat for young guests, making the event even more memorable for the little ones.
As the tree lighting ceremony took place, the spirit of community and holiday warmth was undeniable. Downtown Clarksdale glowed with lights, laughter, and love for local businesses—a reminder that the holidays are a time to come together, celebrate, and ShopLocal.
