Clarksdale, MS — Excitement filled the air on a sunny afternoon in downtown Clarksdale as residents gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Consignment Collection, a new retail space owned and operated by local entrepreneur Reba Gayle Bailey. The event featured a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, with city and county leaders on hand to show their support.
Held Friday at the store’s location, the celebration marked the official launch of a business Bailey has long dreamed of bringing to the community. “I’m glad everybody came out,” Bailey said during her remarks. “And I’m proud of the city of Clarksdale for allowing me to bring my business here.”
Mayor Chuck Espy, who helped cut the ceremonial ribbon, praised Bailey’s commitment to opening a business that not only serves the community but also creates opportunity. City Commissioner Jimmy Harris and District 1 Supervisor Paul Pearson were also in attendance to show their support.
Consignment Collection offers customers a unique shopping experience with gently used and affordable items ranging from clothing to household goods. In addition to shopping, residents can bring in clothes and other items to donate or consign, making the store both a practical and community-driven space.
The store is now officially open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
With community support already strong, Consignment Collection is poised to become a cherished addition to Clarksdale’s growing business landscape.
