Clarksdale, MS – The City of Truth church recently hosted a heartfelt community barbecue, offering food, fellowship, and kindness to local residents. The event, catered by Zee’s Barbecue Restaurant and its owners Mr. and Mrs. James Washington, aimed to feed at least 150 people. Attendees were treated to a delicious meal featuring grilled chicken, a side dish of their choice, dessert, and a beverage.

Although this is the first year for the cookout, City of Truth is no stranger to giving back. Pastor Angela Ceazer, now in her third year of leadership, shared her mission with the community: “I’m not from here, but the Lord sent me to this area to help people.”

The church’s commitment to service is evident in its past efforts. Over time, the City of Truth has distributed more than $5,000 in gas cards and $2,000 worth of groceries to those in need. “We love to give and not expect anything in return,” Pastor Ceazer added.

Looking ahead, the church is planning a back-to-school backpack and supply giveaway, as well as a Christmas drive. More community-centered events are already in the works as the City of Truth continues its mission to be a blessing to others.
