Clarksdale, Mississippi – The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Department proudly sponsored the Senior Safety and Wellness Fair, a community event focused on promoting health, safety, and well-being among the senior population.
Sheriff Mario Masby delivered the opening remarks, welcoming guests and emphasizing the importance of protecting and empowering senior citizens. Gale Moore followed by setting the tone for the occasion, highlighting the value of community partnerships in supporting older adults.
Chief Marcus Cohen provided practical tips on safety and protecting seniors from fraud, sharing valuable insights on how to avoid common scams and ensure personal security.
Dr. William Booker served as the keynote speaker, offering words of encouragement and expert advice on senior wellness. Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch and were treated to live entertainment from Fidty Soul, featuring performances by Jamison Thomas, Lebronze Thomas, Jaquavis Sanders, Isaiah Sanders, and Khi’ryn Powell.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Sheriff Masby and Chief Deputy Cohen, who both expressed gratitude to attendees, partners, and volunteers for making the fair a success.
