Free Maternal Telehealth Services Available to Pregnant Women in North Mississippi

(Jackson, MS) July 23, 2025 — The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health and University of Mississippi Medical Center are currently offering pregnant women (18 years old or older) access to Maternal Telehealth Services.  These services are available to those living in Alcorn, Benton, Coahoma, Grenada, Lafayette, Lee, Leflore, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo, Union counties, and surrounding areas.

This program is free and offers access to:

  • telehealth equipment with mobile data
  • health sessions two days per week throughout pregnancy
  • a maternal telehealth nurse, and
  • unlimited access to virtual mental health and urgent care services.

Designed to help bridge the gap in prenatal care, this initiative hopes to ensure healthy outcomes for mothers and babies in Mississippi.  Interested participants can scan the QR code on the flyer or call 601-496-9242.  Contact Tiffany Regan at tregan@ummc.edu for more information.

The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health was established in 2019 to reduce health disparities among disadvantaged and underserved minority populations in Mississippi through the development of collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders and the implementation of evidence-based public health interventions with a particular focus on health equity.
