Clarksdale, MS — The Unstoppably Bold Day Sensory-Friendly Awareness Parade brought the community together in a powerful display of compassion, inclusion, and understanding. The event, dedicated to raising awareness about CFC Syndrome and sensory sensitivities, highlighted the importance of creating safe and welcoming environments for individuals and families affected by sensory processing challenges.
“As a parent of a child with significant medical and sensory needs, I have seen firsthand the challenges families face when attending traditional community events,” said parade organizer Morgan Jones. “Loud sirens, flashing lights, and overwhelming crowds often make it impossible for children and adults with sensory processing differences to participate comfortably. This parade seeks to change that narrative—creating an inclusive, understanding, and welcoming space for everyone.”
The goal of the event was to celebrate diversity, promote awareness, and demonstrate how small accommodations can make a significant difference in allowing everyone to enjoy community events equally.
Jones expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the parade. “We want to thank everyone who had a hand in making this happen—from those who donated items for the parade to the participants who took time out of their busy schedules to make inclusion of our child with CFC Syndrome and sensory sensitivities a priority,” she said. “Our family is grateful for the beautiful ‘normal’ experience they offered Baby Hunter and others yesterday.”
The success of this year’s parade has inspired plans to make it an annual event. Organizers have already announced that the next Unstoppably Bold Day Sensory-Friendly Parade will take place on November 14, 2026.
“Never forget,” Jones added, “that together, we are #UNSTOPPABLYBOLD.”
