City of Clarksdale Swears In New Assistant Police Chief

Clarksdale, Miss. — On Monday, December 22, the City of Clarksdale officially administered the Oath of Office to newly appointed Assistant Chief of Police Eric Bilbro during a regularly scheduled board meeting.

Ward 3 Commissioner Eddie Earl served as the mayor’s authorized designee and presided over the oath ceremony.

Mayor Orlando W. Paden later joined the meeting and formally welcomed Assistant Chief Bilbro, offering words of encouragement as he steps into his new leadership role within the Clarksdale Police Department.

City officials expressed confidence in Bilbro’s ability to serve the community with professionalism, integrity, and dedication. His appointment marks an important step in strengthening leadership within the department and advancing public safety efforts across the city.

The City of Clarksdale extended congratulations to Assistant Chief Bilbro and shared its anticipation for his continued service and commitment to the citizens of the community.
