Clarksdale, Miss. — The community came together for its annual event aimed at strengthening police–community partnerships and promoting safer neighborhoods across Clarksdale. The gathering, which has become a local tradition, featured a wide range of vendors, public service agencies, and community organizations dedicated to building trust and awareness between residents and first responders.
In attendance were representatives from the Clarksdale Fire Department, Clarksdale Police Department, Pafford EMS, Coahoma County School District’s School Resource Officers, and the Coahoma County Circuit Clerk’s Office led by Demetria Jackson. Health and wellness resources were provided by Aaron E. Henry Community Health Services Center and Northwest Regional Medical Center, offering information on public safety and health initiatives.
Community engagement was further enriched by participation from local organizations, including the Clarksdale High School National Beta Club, Coahoma County Search and Rescue, Mississippi Delta Alliance Moms Demand Action, and Coahoma Community College Career and Technical Education Department.
The event underscored the importance of collaboration, education, and proactive involvement in making neighborhoods safer. Organizers expressed gratitude to all who contributed to another successful year of promoting unity, awareness, and safety throughout the Clarksdale community.
