FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE| August 11, 2025

Clarksdale, Mississippi — The Clarksdale Day Committee is proud to announce the First Annual Clarksdale Day Festival, taking place Labor Day Weekend, August 30–31, 2025. Known as “The Reunion,” this annual celebration invites current residents, former Clarksdalians, and lovers of the Mississippi Delta to come together for a weekend filled with music, food, culture, and community pride.

Born from a vision of unity, Clarksdale Day now steps into history as an official annual event — blending the soul of the Delta with the warmth of hometown hospitality. The festival’s debut promises something for everyone, with events designed to highlight the city’s rich cultural heritage.

Weekend Highlights Include:
■ Live music and entertainment from local and national talent
■ Car show featuring classic rides and custom creations
■ “Who Wants the Smoke” bull-riding competition
■ All White Gala — an elegant evening of style, music, and fellowship
■ Kid Zone with activities and family fun
■ Food trucks, vendors, and local favorites serving up Delta flavors
■ Special mixers and social gatherings for reconnecting with friends and neighbors

“The First Annual Clarksdale Day is more than an event — it’s a homecoming, a celebration of who we are, and a reminder that our community is strongest when we stand together,” said Greg Brown, Committee Chair.
