(Jackson, MS) June 13, 2025 National HIV Testing Day is Friday, June 27, 2025.  The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health, in partnership with Walgreens, will provide free HIV and STI testing for residents of Cleveland and surrounding communities.  Testing will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Walgreens, located at 301 N. Davis Avenue, Cleveland, MS.  Individuals who complete an HIV test will receive a $25 gift card.  Free HIV self-test kits will be available for those who prefer to test at home.

This initiative is part of a nationwide effort to promote early detection, reduce HIV-related stigma, and increase awareness of prevention and treatment options. Trained counselors will be on-site to administer confidential rapid HIV tests, with results available in 20 minutes or less. In addition to HIV testing, attendees can receive free syphilis tests and learn more about preventive tools such as PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), doxy-PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis for bacterial STIs), and other no-cost treatment resources. National HIV Testing Day empowers individuals with knowledge about their health, provides them with the tools they need to stay healthy, and makes it easier to access care in a safe, supportive environment.
