Clarksdale, Mississippi – The Clarksdale Municipal School District (CMSD) recently held its Annual Title Meeting and Parent Boot Camp Engagement, an event designed to introduce parents to the numerous resources available through the district’s federal programs department. The event provided an opportunity for parents to learn about the district’s academic achievements and goals while highlighting the talents of CMSD students.

“This is an opportunity for parents to hear the wonderful things that we are doing academically while showcasing the students’ talents. Our goal is to increase parental involvement to help us aim to continue success,” said Dr. Kristi Harris, who spearheaded the event.

The CMSD cheerleaders gave a spirited performance, contributing to the excitement of the evening. Among the key attendees were Mr. Redus, principal of the 9th Grade Academy, and LaTiffany Burnside Percy, MTSSK2 Coordinator, both of whom were there to show their support for the initiative.

CMSD remains committed to fostering strong relationships with parents and the community, recognizing that family engagement is essential for continued student success. The Annual Title Meeting and Parent Boot Camp served as a bridge between the district’s academic mission and the families who are integral to its success.

As CMSD moves forward, the district aims to keep parental involvement at the forefront of its strategy, ensuring that families are not only informed but also empowered to support their students’ educational journeys.
