(Clarksdale, Mississippi) –  Coahoma Community College is proud to announce the promotion of Linda S. Williams, who transitioned from her current role as Special Assistant to the Dean of Academic Affairs to serve as the Executive Assistant to the President. With over a decade of dedicated service to the college, Linda Williams brings a wealth of experience, commitment, and passion to her new position.

A native of Lambert, Mississippi, Linda Williams is a proud alumna of Quitman County High School, where she graduated in 1984. She furthered her education at Coahoma Community College, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 1987. Her roots in the community and her longstanding dedication to education make her an invaluable asset to the college.

Throughout her ten years at Coahoma, Linda Williams has been instrumental in supporting the Dean of Academic Affairs, playing a pivotal role in the administration of academic programs and ensuring the smooth operation of the department. Her transition to the Executive Assistant to the President is a testament to her unwavering commitment and exemplary performance in her previous role.

In her new capacity, Linda Williams will be directly involved in supporting the President’s office, helping to shape the strategic vision of the college and ensuring the execution of initiatives that align with Coahoma’s mission and goals. Her experience and deep understanding of the college’s values will be crucial as she assists in steering the institution towards continued success.

Reflecting on her promotion, Linda Williams shared her enthusiasm for the future, stating, “I am looking forward to continuing to grow professionally, to utilize and advance my skills. Working in this new role will align with my goals, knowledge, and experience, and contribute to the long-term success of the college. I am excited to be a part of this journey and to help continue the success that has been built before my arrival.”

She is particularly inspired by a quote from Oprah Winfrey: “When you have worked hard and done well and walked through the doorway of opportunity, you do not slam it shut behind you. You reach back and give other people the same chances that helped you succeed.” This guiding principle reflects her commitment to not only her own growth but also to uplifting others in her community.

Coahoma Community College is confident that Linda Williams will continue to make significant contributions in her new role and is excited to see the impact she will have on the college’s future.
