Coahoma Community College Announces Royal Court for 2024-2025 Academic Year

Clarksdale, Mississippi – Coahoma Community College (CCC) is proud to announce its esteemed Royal Court for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Royal Court represents the college’s commitment to leadership, academic achievement, and community involvement, with each member embodying the spirit of excellence that CCC encourages in all students.

The following students have been selected to represent their respective titles:

  • Mr. Coahoma Community CollegeReginald Rodges II of Shaw, MS, a Biology major, has been named Mr. CCC. Reginald has distinguished himself through his academic dedication and campus involvement.
  • Miss Coahoma Community CollegeMaquisha Clark, hailing from Tunica, MS, and majoring in Social Work, will serve as Miss CCC. Maquisha is celebrated for her compassion and commitment to social justice.
  • Miss FreshmanPrecious Miller of Clarksdale, MS, a Pre-Nursing major, has been named Miss Freshman. Precious is committed to the field of healthcare and is already demonstrating strong leadership skills in her studies.
  • Mr. FreshmanAshton Harris, a Prudential Hygiene major from Shelby, MS, has earned the title of Mr. Freshman. Ashton has already made an impact in his short time at CCC, showing leadership among his peers.
  • Miss SophomoreSha’Kyra Smith, a General Studies major from Sardis, MS, has been named Miss Sophomore. Sha’Kyra’s focus on her academic success and community involvement has earned her this honor.
  • Mr. SophomoreAmerica White Jr., from Greenville, MS, an Entrepreneurship major, will serve as Mr. Sophomore. America is known for his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for business innovation.

“We are incredibly proud of these students,” said Nicole Ross, Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Royal Court Advisor. “Each one of them has shown remarkable dedication to their studies and to our campus community. They are true role models for their peers, and we are excited to see the positive impact they will continue to make as representatives of Coahoma Community College.”

Throughout the academic year, the Royal Court will represent Coahoma Community College at various campus and community events, helping to promote the college’s mission of fostering academic growth, leadership development, and community engagement. The Royal Court’s presence will also enhance the college’s cultural and social life, ensuring that CCC remains a vibrant hub of student-driven activity.

As ambassadors of CCC, these students will have the opportunity to share their stories and inspire others, contributing to a lasting legacy of leadership, service, and success.
