Coahoma Community College Receives Seven Awards at the 2024 CPRAM Conference

(Clarksdale, Mississippi) – Coahoma Community College’s Communications & Marketing Department had a stellar performance at the 2024 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) Conference, held from May 18-20 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Competing against numerous institutions from across the state, the team proudly brought home seven awards, underscoring their exceptional work and dedication to promoting the college.

This year’s CPRAM conference saw participation from a wide array of colleges and universities, all vying for recognition in various categories that celebrate excellence in public relations, marketing, and communication efforts. The event served as a platform for professionals to showcase their most creative and impactful projects undertaken in the past year.

Individuals who were part of the CCC Communications and Marketing department during 2024 include Alexus Hunter, Ezra Howard, Jasalyn Lucas, Andranita Williams, Bryce Perry, and Sharon Butler. Their collective efforts and innovative approach were pivotal in earning these accolades.

“We have a talented group of individuals who cohesively understand the mission of our institution,” said Hunter, CCC Chief Communications Officer. “They work together day in and day out to ensure the message and quality we are producing is top notch. I could not be prouder of the dedication and hard work that each of these individuals bring to the table.”

These awards are presented to two-year and four-year institutions in Mississippi that showcase their work from January 1, 2023, to December 1, 2023.

The two-day CPRAM conference featured an array of informative sessions and workshops designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of marketing and communications professionals in the higher education sector. Key discussions and presentations included:

– Toning Voice for the College: Exploring how branding conveys the institution’s message and values.
– Branding in Higher Education: Strategies for effective branding to attract and retain students.
– Training for Templates and Canva Basics: Essential training on using templates and Canva for creating professional marketing materials.
– Digital Marketing Strategies: Insights into successful digital marketing campaigns and best practices.
– Data Report for Social Media: Analysis and insights from a third-party vendor on social media performance and engagement metrics.
