(Clarksdale, Mississippi) –Coahoma Community College (CCC) is excited to announce its Summer Residential Orientation(SRO) for incoming students for the second summer session. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 28th from 9 am to 12 pm in the Zee A. Barron Student Union. NSO is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the vibrant academic, social, and professional life at CCC, also known as the “Triple C.”
This year’s orientation theme, “Summer Oasis,” symbolizes a refreshing start and a nurturing environment for students embarking on their college journey. The orientation will include a series of informative sessions tailored to support both students and their parents as they transition into college life.
“Our Summer Residential Orientation is not just an introduction to CCC; it’s a crucial step in empowering our students with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed,” said Karen Woods-Done, Director of Student Engagement. “The theme ‘Summer Oasis’ reflects our commitment to creating a supportive and enriching environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.”
The orientation will also feature interactive activities and opportunities for students to connect with their peers and faculty members, setting the stage for lasting friendships and a strong support network. Students will also receive a “Summer Oasis” welcome kit, which includes essential supplies and CCC merchandise to kickstart their college experience with school spirit.
