Clarksdale, Mississippi – The Coahoma County School District is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by four outstanding Middle College students. Akeelah Galmore, Kenya Anderson, Taniya Elmore, and Trejah Carpenter have been officially inducted into the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Coahoma Community College.
This honor recognizes not only their academic excellence, but also their commitment, determination, and leadership. As members of Phi Theta Kappa, these young women now qualify for scholarships at the next college or university they attend—opening even more doors for their bright futures.
What makes this accomplishment even more extraordinary is that all four students are currently juniors and on track to graduate in 2026 with both their high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree. This dual achievement is a testament to their hard work and the strength of the Middle College program.
Shoutout to these incredible young women for blazing a trail of excellence! Their futures are filled with promise, and the Coahoma County School District couldn’t be prouder. Hard work, dedication, and big dreams—watch out world, they’re coming for you!
