Clarksdale, Mississippi – The students of Coahoma County School District (CCSD) are making waves across Mississippi with remarkable achievements that highlight their dedication, hard work, and Panther Pride!
After years away from competition, the Coahoma County Powerlifting team made a triumphant return this weekend at their first meet in years. Under the guidance of Head Coach Christopher Mullins Jr. and Assistant Coach Chiquita Lee, the team showcased their strength and preparation, representing CCSD with pride. Their performance sets the tone for a promising season ahead, and the community is rallying behind them.
Meanwhile, the Bionic Panthers, CCSD’s dedicated robotics team, competed in the Grenada FTC Qualifier this past Saturday. Their hard work paid off as they secured 2nd place for the prestigious Inspire Award, earning a spot in the Mississippi State Championship. The team’s countless hours of preparation, creativity, and teamwork are paving the way for even greater accomplishments. Advancing to the state level is no small feat, and these students have proven they are up for the challenge.
On the academic front, Principal Shaw and the entire faculty and staff of Coahoma County High School (CCHS) have achieved the highest accountability rating in the district on Benchmark II. This milestone is a testament to their commitment to excellence in education and their dedication to fostering a culture of success for all students. Their leadership continues to inspire the district and the broader community.
From the weightlifting platform to the robotics arena and the classroom, CCSD students, teachers, and staff are proving that Panther Pride knows no bounds.
