Clarksdale, MS – On June 30, 2025, a powerful example of community partnership took center stage as Chief Vincent Ramirez and the Clarksdale Police Department donated a vehicle to the Clarksdale Municipal School District. The vehicle will be used by the district’s School Resource Officer, furthering efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.

The donation symbolizes a united front in the city’s ongoing commitment to youth protection and educational success. Standing proudly during the handoff were Chief Vincent Ramirez of the Clarksdale Police Department, Dr. Clarence Hayes of the Clarksdale Municipal School District, and Chief Earnest Moore, Chief of Police for the school district.

“This is more than just a vehicle—it’s a symbol of our shared responsibility to safeguard our schools and invest in the future of Clarksdale,” said Chief Ramirez.

School officials expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing how vital strong partnerships are in creating a secure atmosphere where students can thrive.

Together, city law enforcement and school leaders are working to build a safer, stronger Clarksdale—one act of unity at a time.
