Clarksdale, Mississippi – On November 23, the Clarksdale community came together to celebrate generosity and unity at the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway, hosted by NFL stars Elton Jenkins and JT Gray. Held in collaboration with the Clarksdale Fire Department, Clarksdale Police Department, and Chris Coleman Public Relations, the event distributed 500 turkeys to local families in need.

Both Jenkins, an offensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers, and Gray, a safety for the New Orleans Saints, are proud Clarksdale High School alumni. They used the event to express their deep gratitude to the community that shaped them.

“It’s all about giving back to the community,” said Jenkins. “This is where it all started for us, and it’s important to help those who need it most.” Gray echoed his sentiments, thanking everyone who came out to support the event and emphasizing the importance of spreading kindness and generosity during the holiday season.

The turkey giveaway was a resounding success, made possible by the teamwork of local first responders and the enthusiasm of volunteers who joined forces to ensure the event ran smoothly. Families expressed heartfelt appreciation, highlighting how the giveaway brought hope and warmth to their Thanksgiving celebrations.

The generosity doesn’t stop there. The Elton Jenkins Impact Foundation is gearing up for a Christmas Toy and Blanket Drive, with the date to be announced soon. This upcoming initiative is yet another way Jenkins and Gray continue to make a positive impact on their hometown, reinforcing their commitment to supporting the community beyond the football field.

With their annual Thanksgiving event growing stronger each year, Jenkins and Gray are proving that giving back is not just an act of kindness but a way of life. Their dedication serves as an inspiration to the Clarksdale community and a reminder of the power of coming together to uplift others.
