Clarksdale, Mississippi – Flowers Manor recently held a Lunch and Learn event featuring guest speaker Al Cuttarni of North Mississippi Rural Legal Services. The session focused on the important topic of Heirs Property, a form of land ownership that often arises when property is inherited by multiple family members without a clear legal title or will.
Cuttarni explained that heirs property typically results when a property owner passes away without a will, leaving the land to be divided among surviving heirs according to state inheritance laws. This can lead to confusion, disputes, and legal complications over ownership and rights to the land.
To address these challenges, North Mississippi Rural Legal Services offers an Heirs Property Program designed to assist families in navigating the legal steps necessary to establish clear ownership and protect generational assets.
Lunch was served during the event, providing a warm and welcoming environment for attendees to engage with the speaker and ask questions.
