Clarksdale, MS — Former Coahoma County High School basketball standout Armoni Redmond is continuing to make a name for herself at Jackson State University (JSU)—both on and off the court.

During the summer, Redmond completed an internship with Pepsi-Cola, where she also served as a brand ambassador for the company. Her leadership, academic achievements, and campus involvement have made her one of JSU’s most well-rounded students.

Redmond is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the National Honor Society, President’s Scholars, and Golden Key International Honour Society. She is also part of IDEAL Women, First Gens, and the W.E.B. Du Bois–Harvey Honors College.

In addition, she represents JSU as a Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Yard Ambassador and Influencer—promoting HBCU pride and student engagement across campus and beyond.

Redmond currently serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Tiger Transfers and Commuter Students Organization, which was established in 2024 to support transfer students and off-campus commuters from around the world. Previously, she held the position of Event Coordinator for the organization during the 2024–2025 academic year.

Her leadership extends to the American Marketing Association, where she serves as the Vice President of Social Media for 2025–2026. She was also inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars in 2025 and will serve as Fundraising Chair for 2025–2026.

A Senior Business Marketing major at JSU, Redmond continues to balance academic excellence with community and campus engagement.

A proud 2023 graduate of Coahoma County High School, Redmond was a key member of the Lady Red Panthers basketball team that captured the District Championship during her tenure. Her journey from CCHS to JSU serves as an inspiring example of determination, leadership, and excellence in action.
