Jackson, MS) July 15, 2025 — Local expectant and new mothers are invited to attend a Community Baby Shower on Monday, July 28, 2025, in the Dining Room of Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, located at 1970 Hospital Drive, Clarksdale, MS.
Sponsored by the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health and the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the event will offer free educational sessions, access to local community resources, and a variety of giveaways to support maternal and infant health. All attendees will receive free diapers and essential baby care items. This event is part of an ongoing effort to support healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and strong starts for families across the Mississippi Delta.

The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health was established in 2019 to reduce health disparities among disadvantaged and underserved minority populations in Mississippi through the development of collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders and the implementation of evidence-based public health interventions with a particular focus on health equity.
