Clarksdale, Mississippi – On May 31, 2024, the Aaron E. Henry Children’s Clinic celebrated the grand opening of its new facility at 2245 North State Street in Clarksdale, MS. This clinic, a cornerstone of childcare in the greater Delta region, continues to be a valued community partner in health resourcing.
During the event, I had the opportunity to speak with CEO Auriela Taylor. When asked about the inspiration behind the new facility, she explained, “We needed a bigger space as we had outgrown the previous one. It was also time to modernize some of our equipment. This new building offers upgraded space and enhancements that will make our services more effective in addressing the needs of our patients.”
The clinic has grown significantly from its humble beginnings as a single building with nine employees. It now includes multiple facilities, traveling clinics, and intricate programming across the Delta. The Aaron E. Henry Children’s Clinic, Inc. provides services and resources to all age groups in traditionally under-resourced rural communities across Bolivar, Quitman, and even Phillips County in Arkansas.
The new facility marks a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to support health and nutrition throughout the Delta region. Congratulations to the entire Aaron E. Henry team!
