Coahoma Opportunities Inc.’s Head Start program had its annual fun day for the first time since the COVID pandemic. The fun day took place at the Coahoma County Expo Center last Thursday. Activities included basketball on the court at the Expo Center and bouncers for kids. The food served at the fun day included hamburgers, nachos, chips, and cheese.
“We’re just showing a little appreciation to the parents and the children for showing their love to Coahoma Opportunities and the Head Start program,” said Head Start Director Sherman Robinson. Robinson mentioned that there were 250 children in the program. Fun day has taken place for approximately 10 years, but the last one was in 2019 prior to the COVID pandemic.
Things went according to plan on Thursday. “Everything seems to be going well,” Robinson said.
