Clarksdale, Mississippi – As communities across Clarksdale and surrounding areas celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2025, we proudly highlight one of Clarksdale’s own: Terrance Hodges.

Born and raised in Clarksdale, Terrance has spent his entire life rooted in the city that helped shape his ambitions. A 2023 graduate of Clarksdale High School, he is now preparing to cross another stage—this time at Coahoma Community College—where he will earn his associate degree in criminal justice on May 10, 2025.

Driven by a lifelong passion for law enforcement, Terrance has remained steadfast in his goal of becoming a U.S. Marshal. “I’ve always had a huge interest in law enforcement and becoming an advocate for the youth since I was a kid,” he shares. With that dream in focus, he plans to continue his education this fall at the University of Memphis, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science and government.

While many students celebrate the end of finals with summer vacations, Terrance is looking ahead to something even bigger—he is hoping for an internship with the U.S. Marshals Service. He is currently seeking opportunities in the criminal justice field, eager to gain hands-on experience as he prepares for the next chapter of his journey.

Terrance’s story is not just about personal success—it’s about proving that determination, focus, and faith can defy expectations. “A lot of people doubted me. Now it’s like they’re trying to figure me out,” he says, reflecting on his growth and the perseverance it took to reach this milestone.

As Clarksdale honors its graduates this year, Terrance Hodges stands as a shining example of ambition, resilience, and community pride. His journey reminds us all that with vision and hard work, dreams can transform into purpose—and purpose into impact.

Congratulations, Terrance. Your community is proud of you!
