Clarksdale, MS – On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the community will gather at The Meraki Roasting Co. (282 Sunflower Ave.) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for a very special book launch and signing event celebrating the release of The Boy Who Painted Hope by Delarían “Deuce” Norsworthy, II.
A Story of Courage and Faith
At just a young age, Deuce faced an unimaginable challenge when a stomachache led to a life-changing diagnosis: acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The Boy Who Painted Hope tells his powerful and personal journey through the eyes of a child living with cancer.
Readers will follow Deuce through hospital stays, chemotherapy treatments, the heartbreak of losing his hair, and the difficulty of leaving home. Yet, throughout it all, he shares his story with honesty, humor, and heart—reminding us that even in the darkest of times, light can still shine through.
More Than a Story About Cancer
This book is not only about Deuce’s battle but also about the love, faith, and strength that carried him through. With the support of his family, his loyal toy bear “Buddy,” and his own unwavering determination, Deuce shows that hope can be painted into every chapter of life—even on the hardest days.
Event Invitation
The public is warmly invited to attend the launch event, meet the author, and hear firsthand the story behind this remarkable book. Signed copies of The Boy Who Painted Hope will be available, and guests will have the opportunity to celebrate a young man whose courage has already inspired so many.
