A new generator was installed in the back of Clarksdale City Hall on Monday morning as a backup for a possible power outage. DTAC, also known as Dent Turner AC Sales, out of Greenwood, installed a Generac Protector generator. It was the first time a new generator was installed in city hall since 1997. The generator will enable city hall to have power when there is a power outage in the area.
The power was off in Clarksdale City Hall for most of last Wednesday to take care of the wiring inside the building. The generator itself was then installed on Monday. Clarksdale Public Works Department employees assisted DTAC in the process.
