When SoFaygo’s 2019 breakthrough hit, “Knock Knock,” went viral on social media, the Atlanta rapper got immediately propelled into superstardom, receiving love from artists like Lil Uzi Vert and Gunna, and proved to be an ideal fit for Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack label. Months of buildup and an EP (B4pink) later, Pink Heartz has finally arrived. “Having a pink heart just means wearing your heart in your sleeve, being yourself completely all the way in which, no what people saying or what these people over here doing, you simply being you throughout every little thing,” SoFaygo tells Apple Music. “I believe that’s the definition of me. That’s who I’m. No matter all of the noise, I’m continuing to stay myself and continuing to do music.”
The Up Next artist has looked as if it would create his lane inside the genre, mixing trap and melody into his unique sound, which will be heard throughout the 16-track project. Pink Heartz takes listeners on a journey into among the things that SoFaygo must cope with attributable to his newfound fame, similar to the high that comes from being within the highlight (“Perpetually”), jealousy from so-called friends (“Greed,” “Price”), and spiraling emotions (“Transparency”).
