Clarksdale, Mississippi – The annual President Valmadge T. Towner Community & Career Fair is scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pinnacle. Over 50 organizations will convene at Coahoma Community College campus for this event.

Aligned with CCC’s commitment to preparing students for higher education and career success, this in-person event reflects the institution’s mission of nurturing educational and career pathways for students and the wider community. It also fosters economic growth and community engagement by bringing together local businesses, organizations, and educational institutions.

Tolernisa Butler, the Director of Educational Outreach, has been diligently organizing this event and is excited to offer this valuable opportunity to the CCC community. Butler has actively engaged with local businesses and institutions, raised awareness within the community, and delivered speeches at various events.

The fair will showcase CCC program offerings and highlight potential job opportunities, aiming to raise awareness about the diverse options in career and technical education. It will provide avenues for students to explore full-time employment and internship opportunities across various majors, with recruiters from different organizations and four-year college programs present.

Students, including current and alumni, are encouraged to attend and explore the plethora of opportunities available at the fair. The event promises meaningful interactions, enabling students and aspiring professionals to connect, establish professional networks, and explore potential job and internship prospects.
