Clarksdale, MS – On Friday, July 26th, Southern Bancorp’s Clarksdale branch welcomed the community with a festive Back-to-School Cookout and School Supply Giveaway. Held at their branch location at 875 State Street, the event was a vibrant celebration aimed at preparing local students for the upcoming school year.
The day kicked off with a hearty cookout, offering delicious food and fun games for the children and their families. The highlight of the event was the school supply giveaway, where the first 100 kids in attendance received a variety of essential supplies to help them start the school year off right.
Southern Bancorp’s dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure the event’s success. Special thanks go to Armoni Redmon, Columbus Russell, Kimberly Turner, Sylvia Harrell, Sharon Lofton, and Lenester Harris, whose efforts were instrumental in making the event enjoyable and efficient for all attendees.
Adding to the excitement, Commissioner Willie Turner was present, showing support for the community initiative and joining in the festivities.
