Clarksdale, Mississippi – The 3rd Annual Flowers Manor Jingle and Mingle event was a heartwarming celebration filled with joy and fellowship.
Nurse Erica Holly and her husband, Decarlos Holly, initiated this event, which started as a simple hot cocoa bar during its first year—a trial-and-error experience that has since evolved into the cherished Jingle and Mingle tradition.
Guests enjoyed delicious food and snacks while Santa Claus (played by Jerry Dixon) and Mrs. Claus posed for photos with children and residents. Families and friends gathered to share refreshments, laughter, and fellowship.
Music was provided by the talented Jimmy Harris and The Show, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Notable attendees included Ed Peacock and Massive Ellington, members of the Flowers Manor Board.
The event highlighted the community’s rich history and spirit. Goldie Himmelstein, Flowers Manor’s oldest resident at 104 years old, and Peggy Stilger, the longest resident with a four-year stay, were honored during the celebration.
Key staff members such as Nurse Practitioner Tori Powell and Activities Director Ommie Games played vital roles in making the event a success.
This year’s Jingle and Mingle demonstrated how a simple idea can grow into a meaningful tradition that brings joy to all who attend.
