Clarksdale, Mississippi – Stanley E. Gates II, a proud Clarksdale, Mississippi native, is gaining recognition for his impactful work as a public servant in Columbus, Ohio. Currently serving as the Director of Neighborhoods for the City of Columbus, Stanley is dedicated to strengthening and uplifting communities across the city. His efforts have earned him the prestigious title of Emerging Leader in this year’s edition of Who’s Who in Black Columbus.

Stanley’s passion for service is deeply rooted in his upbringing. His mother, Ramona Hinton, served as a public servant for over 30 years and continues to work with families in Central Ohio. Her unwavering commitment to helping vulnerable communities has greatly influenced Stanley’s own career and values.

A scholar and a leader, Stanley is a graduate of Howard University and The Ohio State University College. His education has equipped him with the tools to address community needs with innovation and empathy. As a fluent Spanish speaker, Stanley ensures that he can effectively connect with and serve Columbus’ diverse population.

In addition to his professional achievements, Stanley is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., an organization known for its emphasis on service, scholarship, and brotherhood. He also serves as a board member for the Afrocentric Personal Development Shop, further demonstrating his commitment to empowering others.

Stanley credits his family for their enduring support and inspiration, including his aunt, Erma Jean Hinton Nesby, who continues the family’s tradition of community service.
