A Toyota Corolla was discovered overturned at the side of the road between State Farm and Coahoma Tires on State Street around 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
The vehicle was heading southwest, roughly one mile away from Walmart. Multiple witnesses reported an accident involving the Toyota Corolla, which was rear-ended and forced off the road.
However, representatives from the Clarksdale Police Department were unable to provide any information regarding how the vehicle ended up off the road. The CPD possesses video footage of the accident and will conduct a review.
Representatives from the Clarksdale Police Department, Clarksdale Fire Department, and Pafford Emergency Medical Services were present at the scene for approximately 45 minutes. The CPD managed traffic at the intersection of State and Choctaw streets, while Delta Wrecker towed the Toyota Corolla.
As of now, there are no updates available on the condition of the individuals inside the vehicle.
