W.A. Higgins Middle School TSA Shines at Northern District Competition

Clarksdale, Mississippi – On Thursday, January 23, 2025, W.A. Higgins Middle School’s talented TSA students demonstrated their creativity, innovation, and determination at the Northern District Competition held at Northeast Community College in Booneville, Mississippi.

Competing in an array of challenging categories, the students impressed judges and spectators alike with their exceptional skills. The categories included:
Career Prep – Equipping students with the tools to confidently prepare for future careers.
Digital Photography – Highlighting the art of storytelling through breathtaking visuals.
Inventions & Innovations – Showcasing groundbreaking ideas and creative solutions to real-world problems.
Off The Grid – Encouraging sustainable living and self-sufficiency with forward-thinking projects.

Lorenzo Thomas secured 2nd place in the Career Prep category, displaying his readiness for the professional world.
Krystal Collins, Kaden Dunigan, and Khloe Reed earned 3rd place in the Off The Grid category with their innovative and eco-friendly project. Nehemiah Griffin and Tommy Pittman proudly took home 4th place in the Off The Grid category, further showcasing their commitment to sustainability.

The hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of these students were evident throughout the competition. Each participant represented W.A. Higgins Middle School with excellence and pride, leaving a lasting impression on the judges.
