Women and Girls Conference held in Yazoo City

(Jackson, MS)  –   Southern Health Alliance and the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health will collaborate to host the Women & Girls EmpowHERment Conference.   The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Triangle Cultural Center, located at 332 N. Main St. Ste A in Yazoo City, MS. 

Through a series of engaging workshops, panel discussions, and keynote speeches, attendees will have the opportunity to explore topics such as self-love, mental health substance abuse, HIV/AIDS/STI prevention, and awareness and domestic violence.   Scheduled speakers are Shawnte Spriggs, Dr. Joyce Keller Turner, and Dominique Grant. Topics of discussion include self-love, empowerment, mental health, substance use/abuse, domestic violence, and HIV/AIDS/STIs.

Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided.  This event is hosted by Southern Health Alliance and is a collaborative effort between The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health; First Choice Home Care, LLC; S.H.E.
