The 67th Annual Grammy Awards took place on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, bringing together the brightest stars in the music industry to honor outstanding achievements. Hosted by Trevor Noah, the ceremony was a night full of excitement, remarkable performances, and significant milestones in music.

This year’s ceremony saw big wins for both established legends and fresh talent. Beyoncé took home the coveted Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter, cementing her status as one of the most influential figures in modern music. Kendrick Lamar triumphed with both Song of the Year and Record of the Year for his track Not Like Us, showcasing his continued dominance and relevance in the music scene.

Other notable winners included Chappell Roan, who claimed the Best New Artist award, and Sabrina Carpenter, whose Short n’ Sweet earned her the Best Pop Vocal Album award. The Best Pop Duo/Group Performance went to the powerhouse pairing of Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, while Charli XCX snagged Best Dance/Electronic Album, proving her innovation in the genre.

Beyoncé led the nominations with 11 nods, followed closely by Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, who received 6 and 7 nominations, respectively. The night was a testament to the continuing relevance and influence of these artists, whose work continues to shape the landscape of modern music.

A standout moment of the evening was the heartfelt tribute to the legendary Quincy Jones. The musical icon, who passed away in November 2024 at the age of 91, was honored for his incredible legacy, which included 80 Grammy nominations and 28 wins. Performances by Stevie Wonder, Janelle Monáe, and Cynthia Erivo brought emotional depth to the tribute, reflecting Jones’s monumental influence on the music industry.

In addition to celebrating musical achievements, the Grammy Awards highlighted the music industry’s ongoing commitment to community support. Celebrities and attendees showed solidarity with the victims of the devastating California wildfires by wearing blue heart-shaped pins on the red carpet. This was in support of the MusiCares Fire Relief Fund, which is spearheading efforts to provide assistance to those affected by the fires. The Recording Academy, in collaboration with Direct Relief and the Pasadena Community Foundation, continues to lead fundraising efforts for wildfire relief.

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards not only celebrated the exceptional talent and contributions of musicians but also underscored the power of the music industry to uplift communities and honor the legacies of trailblazing artists. As the night closed, it was clear that the Grammy Awards are more than just a celebration of music—they are a reflection of the collective heart and spirit of the music world, a platform for change, and a way to ensure that the legacies of icons like Quincy Jones are never forgotten.
