Clarksdale, Mississippi – Coahoma County High School (CCHS) is celebrating a new Ms. CCHS, as Madyson Pigram, an honor student with a bright vision for the future, takes the crown. Madyson, well known for her involvement in a variety of sports and her infectious sense of humor, ran for the title to make a real difference at her school.
“I wanted to bring change into the school,” Madyson said, explaining her decision to enter the competition. A natural leader, she has her sights set on ensuring that every student’s voice is heard. As Ms. CCHS, she plans to advocate for students who feel overlooked and help create a more inclusive and supportive environment.
Madyson’s role model is none other than former First Lady Michelle Obama, a figure known for her poise, intelligence, and dedication to empowering young people. Inspired by Obama’s trailblazing leadership, Madyson hopes to follow in her footsteps by staying focused on her future and building a successful business.
Her time at CCHS has been marked by notable achievements, including becoming an honor student and winning the coveted title of Ms. CCHS. Madyson’s dedication to her studies and extracurriculars is evident. She’s an active participant in volleyball, soccer, softball, cheerleading, and dance, showing her commitment to teamwork and school spirit.
While the campaign for Ms. CCHS had its moments of stress, Madyson described it as a “50-50” experience. Despite the challenges, she maintained a positive outlook and remained true to herself, never losing her sense of humor. “I like to joke around and make people laugh,” she shared, a trait that no doubt helped her stay grounded throughout the competition.
Looking ahead, Madyson is eager to step into her new role and begin making an impact. Her leadership, vision, and passion for helping others signal a promising future not just for herself, but for the entire CCHS community.
