Clarksdale, Mississippi – Coahoma County Junior High School (CCJHS) celebrated a significant milestone for its students—the 8th grade graduation. This year, a total of 78 students proudly walked across the stage to receive their diplomas, marking the end of their junior high journey and the beginning of a new chapter in high school.
The ceremony was filled with joy, pride, and anticipation. Arian Hawkins, the Valedictorian of the class, delivered an inspiring speech that left a lasting impression on both the graduates and the audience. Hawkins, known for his dedication and academic excellence, encouraged his classmates to continue striving for success and to embrace the challenges of high school with confidence and determination.
Following Hawkins, Laylah Burnside, the Salutatorian, also addressed the crowd. Burnside’s speech was heartfelt and motivational, reflecting on the memories shared over the years and the bonds formed within the school community. She reminded her peers of the importance of perseverance and the value of the friendships they have built at CCJHS.
The highlight of the ceremony was the keynote address by guest speaker Ms. Arianna Anderson, a distinguished alumna of CCHS (Coahoma County High School). Anderson shared her experiences and the lessons she learned during her academic journey, offering valuable advice to the graduates. Her words of wisdom resonated deeply with the students, parents, and faculty, emphasizing the significance of education and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
The graduation ceremony was not only a celebration of academic achievements but also a recognition of the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and parents. The graduates beamed with pride as they received their diplomas, cheered on by their families and friends.
