CRT/HBG Scholarship: Investing in the Future of Student-Athletes”

In the spirit of giving back and recognizing the importance of supporting the next generation, CRT/HBG is proud to announce a scholarship opportunity for dedicated student-athletes in Clarksdale High School (CHS) and Hayes High School (HHS) basketball programs. This initiative aims to give back to the alma maters who played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of the coach and fostering success on and off the court.

To be considered for the CRT/HBG scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. CHS Female Basketball Player (Senior): The scholarship is open to senior female basketball players from Clarksdale High School.
  2. HHS Male Basketball Player (Senior): Senior male basketball players from Hayes High School are eligible to apply.
  3. Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA: Applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 throughout their high school career.
  4. Furthering Education After High School: Recipients must have plans to pursue higher education after graduating from high school.
  5. One Letter of Recommendation: Each applicant is required to submit a letter of recommendation supporting their candidacy for the scholarship.
  6. One-Page Essay: Applicants must compose a one-page essay outlining their goals and articulating how their experiences in basketball have prepared them for life beyond high school.

Interested students should follow the steps outlined in the application process:

  1. Submission Forms and Essay: Complete the submission forms along with the required one-page essay.
  2. Email Submission for Female Athletes: CHS female athletes should send their submission forms and essays to SWILLIAMS@COAHOMACC.EDU.
  3. Email Submission for Male Athletes: HHS male athletes should send their submission forms and essays to PIPPEN@COAHOMACC.EDU.

CRT/HBG recognizes the transformative power of education and athletics in shaping the future leaders of our communities.
