Clarksdale, MS – On Friday, July 26th, the community gathered in anticipation and excitement as Delta Blues Coin Laundry marked its official grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event, held at 710 Desoto Ave, was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests and local officials, highlighting the importance of the new business to the area.
Mayor Espy took center stage to inaugurate the ceremony, expressing his enthusiasm for the new laundry facility and its role in supporting the community. “Delta Blues Coin Laundry is more than just a business,” Mayor Espy remarked. “It represents growth, convenience, and the strengthening of our local economy.”
Commissioner Willie Turner also addressed the crowd, commending the entrepreneurial spirit of Richard Brook, the owner of Delta Blues Coin Laundry. “Richard’s dedication to providing this essential service to our residents is truly commendable,” said Turner. “It’s businesses like this that make our community vibrant and resilient.”
Joining the festivities was Ed Seals, former commissioner, who shared his reflections on the economic development of Clarksdale. “Witnessing the growth of our local businesses over the years has been incredibly rewarding,” Seals noted. “Delta Blues Coin Laundry is a testament to the hard work and vision of our local entrepreneurs.”
John Livingston, President of the Chamber of Commerce, added his congratulations and support. “The Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Delta Blues Coin Laundry to our family of businesses,” Livingston stated. “We are committed to fostering a thriving business environment, and this new laundry facility is a fantastic addition.”
Owner Richard Brook, beaming with pride, thanked the community for their warm reception and expressed his excitement for the future. “Opening Delta Blues Coin Laundry has been a dream come true,” Brook shared. “We are dedicated to providing top-notch service and convenience to our customers, and we look forward to serving Clarksdale for many years to come.”
Delta Blues Coin Laundry will be open seven days a week, with operating hours from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The state-of-the-art facility offers a range of services, ensuring that all laundry needs are met with efficiency and care.
