Clarksdale, Mississippi – The excitement is building at Lee Academy as students, staff, and the community prepare for one of the most anticipated events of the year—Homecoming 2024. Set for Friday, October 4, the day will be filled with tradition, school spirit, and excitement as the Colts face off against the Marshall Academy Patriots in the annual Homecoming football game.

The day kicks off with the Lee Homecoming Assembly, scheduled for 11:00 AM in the gymnasium. This event brings together the entire Lee Academy community to celebrate the achievements and spirit of the school. Students and faculty will gather to hear from special speakers and share in the enthusiasm of the day.

Later in the evening, the spotlight shifts to the gridiron. Kickoff for the Colts’ football game against the Marshall Academy Patriots is set for 7:00 PM. This year, as in past years, the Homecoming game will be the highlight of the evening, with the crowd cheering on the Colts to victory.

One of the most cherished traditions of Homecoming is the presentation of the Homecoming Court, which will take place at halftime. The 2024 Lee Academy Homecoming Queen will be crowned during this special moment, adding to the excitement of the evening.

The Homecoming Court includes young ladies from 7th grade through the senior class, each representing her respective class with pride and elegance.

The presentation of the court and the crowning of the Homecoming Queen are time-honored traditions at Lee Academy, symbolizing the grace, leadership, and school spirit of the students. Each member of the Homecoming Court has been selected by their peers to represent their class on this special occasion.

With the Colts taking the field and the Homecoming Court shining under the Friday night lights, October 4th promises to be a memorable day for Lee Academy. From the morning assembly to the halftime crowning ceremony, this is an event no one will want to miss. Make sure to come out and support the Colts, celebrate the Homecoming traditions, and witness the crowning of the 2024 Lee Academy Homecoming Queen!
