Milestone LLC, a community mental health service in Clarksdale, celebrated its six-year anniversary by giving out more than 200 turkeys for Thanksgiving on Saturday morning. The turkey giveaway took place in the Lakeview Business Center on Friars Point Road, where Milestone LLC is located. It was a drive-through event, and each car received one turkey.

“We’re celebrating our six-year anniversary of giving back to Clarksdale, to the community,” said Milestone LLC Certified Community Support Specialist Crystal Bradley. “We’re giving out over 200 turkeys. We’re just giving back, showing love to our community this Thanksgiving season.”

“We’re happy to be here,” added Milestone LLC Community Support Specialist Cheniqua Robinson. “Everything is going pretty well so far.”

Milestone LLC Office Manager Desere Wilson mentioned owners Alexandra and Daryl Davis and praised their efforts. “We’re just thankful to be here, able to give back to our community,” Wilson said.

Coaches and players from the Clarksdale and Coahoma County high school football programs volunteered to help with the turkey giveaway. Red Panthers coach Jeremiah Brassell stressed the importance of community involvement. “It’s for the community,” he said. “So far, so great. It’s a fantastic collaboration and an excellent way to give back to the community.”
